Dental trauma

Dental trauma occurs unexpectedly and to people of all ages and affects the tooth, the pulp/nerve as well as the gingival tissues to varying degrees. Management of all three components are often complicated and carried out over an extended period of time. Improper early management of dental injuries usually leads to poor healing. It is essential that the teeth are repositioned as soon as possible and that your clinician is experienced in managing these situations. If you are ever unfortunate enough to suffer a traumatic event, we’ll endeavour to see you as soon as possible to manage the situation appropriately. For immediate management after trauma please follow the link below or contact our offices for advice. https://www.ada.org.au/Your-Dental-Health/Teens-12-17/Sports-and-First-Aid
